Abstract

Leadership plays a crucial role in today's era of development, where the ability to adapt is critical. This article examines the variables of leadership and employee motivation using a qualitative method through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on 30 articles that have been reviewed. It reviews the literature of the last five years (2021-2025). The purpose of this study is to identify the leadership style that has the most influence on employee motivation. The expected results show that there is a significant relationship between leadership and employee motivation, where a leader can influence employees in carrying out their leadership duties. Low motivation has a detrimental effect on employee performance, and this motivation issue is a challenge faced by many organizations. Therefore, researchers need to dig deeper into the different leadership styles that can be applied to improve motivation and, ultimately, employee performance. A deeper understanding of leadership strategies and motivations is needed to optimize workforce productivity.
