Author Guidelines

Guidelines for Authors

Authors are invited to submit original and unpublished manuscripts that have not been previously published or are not under consideration for publication elsewhere. All submissions must be relevant to the scope of the Proceedings of the Tadulako International Conference on Economics and Business (TICEB).

Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts should be written in clear and concise English and prepared using a standard word-processing format. The manuscript should include the following components: title, author(s) name(s) and affiliation(s), abstract, keywords, introduction, literature review (if applicable), methodology, results and discussion, conclusion, acknowledgments (if any), and references.

Formatting Requirements

Manuscripts should follow the formatting template provided by the proceedings. Generally, manuscripts are prepared using A4 paper size, single or 1.15 line spacing, and standard fonts (e.g., Times New Roman, 12 pt). Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively and provided with clear titles.

Abstract and Keywords

The abstract should be concise and informative, clearly stating the research purpose, methods, main findings, and contributions. The abstract should not exceed 250 words. Authors should provide three to five keywords that reflect the main topics of the manuscript.

Bibliographic and Citation Standards

All references must be cited appropriately within the text and listed in the reference section. The Proceedings of TICEBrecommend the use of a recognized citation style, such as the APA (American Psychological Association) style. Authors are encouraged to use reference management software (e.g., Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote) to ensure consistency and accuracy.

In-text citation example (APA style):

  • Single author: (Smith, 2020)

  • Two authors: (Smith & Jones, 2021)

  • Three or more authors: (Smith et al., 2022)

Reference list examples:

  • Journal article:
    Smith, J. A., & Jones, B. C. (2021). Corporate governance and firm performance. Journal of Business Research, 45(2), 123–135.

  • Book:
    Brown, L. (2019). Financial management in emerging economies. Springer.

Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the online submission system of the TICEB (https://ticeb.id). Authors are required to register and log in before submitting their manuscripts. All submissions will be subject to editorial screening and peer review.

Peer-Review and Revision

Submitted manuscripts will undergo a peer-review process. Authors may be requested to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers/discussants’ comments. Revised manuscripts must be resubmitted within the timeframe specified by the editor.

Publication Ethics

Authors must ensure that their work is original and free from plagiarism. Proper acknowledgment of all sources is required. Any potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed. The proceedings adhere to ethical standards in academic publishing.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submitted manuscripts must meet the following requirements:

  • The manuscript complies with the requirements stated in the Guidelines for Authors.

  • The manuscript has not been previously published and is not under consideration for publication in another journal or proceedings.

  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.

  • All tables and figures are properly numbered and provided with appropriate titles.

  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photographs, datasets, and any other materials included in the manuscript.
