The Role of the Maritime and Fisheries Sector in Driving Blue Economy-Based Regional Economic Growth in Central Sulawesi

Abstrak

Central Sulawesi has rich natural resources, including large marine and fisheries, a long coastline, traditional fishery activities, and opportunities for agricultural cultivation in still underdeveloped areas. The water area of Central Sulawesi covers 77,295 km-squared and includes 1,604 islands. This study explores the role of maritime affairs and fisheries in driving the growth of the regional economy in Central Sulawesi Province within the framework of the blue economy. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach to examine the role of the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries sector in encouraging regional economic growth based on the blue economy in Central Sulawesi. Then, we used a literature review approach that provides an overview of existing data and describes an invention to be used as an example.
